As part of LuBeC 2014, the marathon for innovation and creativity, CREATHON, will take place on 9 – 10 October. It has been conceived to celebrate MiBACT’s 40th anniversary. It is a competition of ideas that brings together teams of creatives, developers and “digital makers” under 40 for a 24-hour-non-stop event of design to promote audience development through innovative projects in the fields of cultural assets and tourism!
What are CREATHON’s objectives? To stimulate a new way of “promoting culture” and to find contemporary solutions to disseminate and integrate the cultural heritage with the territories and the museums in order to:
• encourage the use of innovative products and services for the integration of cultural attractors and territories
• attract new bodies of users and new “tourisms” with a contemporary language
• promote new professional jobs in the cultural assets – technology – tourism chain
Focusing on innovation, technology, creativity and sustainability CREATHON is throwing down the gauntlet to participating teams.
